Thicket's Resilience (Limit 1)
This is our second release for 2025, Thicket’s Resilience! So many loved this one when we posted to Instagram that we decided to do a small release of it this year. We grew this one from a packet of Paul Bloomquist’s seeds from Triple Wren Farms during the same difficult summer of 2021 that Thicket’s Rescue emerged, and we have loved and enjoyed it ever since!
Thicket’s Resilience has long strong stems, excellent vase life, and has never dropped petals in a vase—in fact, the flowers end up drying and not blowing their centers when we keep them in the vase and could have interesting dried flowers potential. My last bouquet of these this fall was in plain water for over 2 weeks on my table!
The closest similarly colored dahlia I have compared this one with is Intrigue, kind of a watermelon-coral, fruit punch, fun color. It is really fun to work with and a great pop of color in the garden. Grows to about 4’ tall and benefits from staking or cage/coraling because it gets nice and bushy with the most gorgeous dark green foliage with loads of blooms! Makes really nice tubers that store well, too.
