Thicket's POG (Rooted Cutting)
We are so excited to share ‘Thicket’s POG’ with you! Our college swimmer kiddo (aka our Dahlia Packer Pro) texted the name idea to me, and we all agreed that our family’s favorite juice's name fits (Pineapple-Orange-Guava). Can you see it? A vase full of these will bring a smile to your face like a sweet glass of POG in the morning on a sunny lanai overlooking the ocean.
Thicket’s POG inherited excellent genetics from seed parent Bloomquist Mojo and the pollen parent chosen by our wild pollinator pals.
Strong, long dark stems that snap cleanly to harvest without tools. Plants about 3.5 to 4’ and sturdy (we do not stake them)
Solid bloom attachment, lots of petals and slow to reveal pollen center
Excellent in a vase and blends well with all flowers
Tubers are the kind you wish all of them could be and store well
Makes full heads of seeds and has produced an array of very cool new seedlings that we cannot wait to release in future years
Beautifully strong plants grow to about 4 feet tall and hold themselves up without support. Cut the flowers, and they will make many more. Has been an earlier bloomer and goes all season long. Color lightens and gets a little more golden as that days shorten, which matches fall decor quite perfectly.
This Spring 2026 new release is exclusive here and we appreciate you supporting our hybridization project on our family farm :)

All rooted cuttings come from tuber stock of dahlias we grew that were inspected during the growing season. In addition, we tested with Agdia Immunistrips for CMV, INSV, TMV, TSV & TSWV which all came up negative. We take great care in growing and providing the healthiest dahlias we can.
